Walk of trust




Fresh Prince of Bel Air with instruments!




Today in music we have been learning to play the recorder and glockenspiel to "Fresh Prince of Bel Air". We did so well with it, especially when the rhythm got faster.

Multiplication!

Today we have played a game in maths to do with multiplication. It was to do with times tables and we had fun playing even though we were still learning how to multiply . We also used the inverse to check our answers.

Ian Bland Poetry!






Here are some pictures of the occasion We were lucky enough on the last day of half term to have poet Ian Bland visit our school. Everyone found it amusing and fun. Some were called up to the front to help out including;
Mrs Opdembrown, Caitlin and Zach . We heard various different poems like , I'd like to be, some teachers, the love poem.

He read some hilarious poems to us and showed us how the tempo and rhyme can change a poem.

Boat challenge!




This week in Science we have been looking at buoyancy and upthrust. We had to design the best shaped boat to help the cubes float!

Truth collective worship

Our church ambassadors led a collective worship all about truth this week. They did an amazing job!

Water Aid!

On Thursday 4th February, Year 5 were lucky enough to have two visitors from Water Aid. Peter and Emma taught us all about what Water Aid do for different countries. We learnt facts that included using the washing machine can use up to 70 litres of water! We found out what life was in like in other countries and how they try to survive with very limited fresh water. Watch this space for how we will be helping them!
