Sports Relief Fundraising!

What a busy week we had last week! We had great fun on Thursday 20th March raising money for Sports Relief. For two weeks beforehand we designed and created our own sports activities. These ranged from: an extreme obstacle course, football and hockey shooting, dribbling for basketball, to balancing a ball on a tennis racket.

Each class was invited to come and play our games for a small donation of 5-10p per a game.

We had a great time and altogether managed to raise a total of £72.28

Everybody from Year 5 should be very proud of themselves for raising an amazing amount!

Seed Dispersal

Today we learnt all about seed dispersal. This is when seeds are spread in different ways, to continue the life cycle of plants.
Here are some posters we designed with each stage on.

Times tables!

In numeracy we have recently been learning efficient methods for all four operations! For multiplication and division it is really important that we are confident with our times tables, otherwise this slows us down. There are lots of ways we can learn our tables, below are a few links which you can use to play games on:

Comment on this post to tell everybody which game you enjoyed the most. Which times tables are you going to challenge yourself to be confident with?
